Creating Capacity, presented by Railway Age and RT&S | March 18-19, 2009 | Chicago Union League Club

Creating capacity is the key to sustained growth
This is a two-day conference addressing critical rail issues with an emphasis on solutions by asset management.

Tough times call for an extraordinary commitment to efficiency. This two-day conference will open your eyes to technology and strategy that can make a world of difference when all parties in railroading strive to maximize capital expansion as well as current assets.

Rising energy costs, highway congestion, the constraints of trucking and the focus on “green” contribute to the growing demand for railroads, both passenger and freight. The challenge of this conference is to share skills and experience — better utilization, not simply more construction — in search of ways to expand service and contain costs.

You’ll find a wealth of answers at this unique gathering of railroad professionals. It’s an opportunity to gain knowledge and grow. It’s an intelligent step toward Creating Capacity.

This conference will explore operations, engineering, C&S, mechanical and supply-side innovations that can assure sustainable capacity growth.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Michael J. Ward, Chairman, President and CEO, CSX, and Railway Age's 2009 Railroader of the Year
