PUCO approves upgrade of rail crossing in Clinton County

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) approved construction authorization from the Ohio Rail Development Commission directing Indiana & Ohio Railway to install mast-mounted flashing lights and roadway gates at the Lazenby Street grade crossing in the village of Blanchester, Clinton County.

The railroad will be responsible for completing construction of the upgrade by Oct. 30, 2013. Funding for the project will be provided by federal funds.
