RailComm's 2.4 GHz Spread Spectrum RADiANTTM data radios will be used to establish wireless communications networks to link the derail and control panel locations. Solar power will be used and the associated hardware will be sized based upon the location of the derails and their expected usage.
Upon activation, tracks are safely and immediately protected by the remote control of the appropriate derail device with associated blue strobe light warning indication.
