Former CSX executive joins Hanson

Hanson Professional Services Inc. hired former CSX executive Chris Durden as a vice president and senior railway principal.

Working from Hanson’s Jacksonville, Fla., office, he will provide technical assistance, railroad operations input and assessments and general guidance to Hanson staff on the planning, design and construction of intermodal and other railroad facility projects.

Previously, Durden was the assistant vice president of terminal development for CSX Intermodal Terminals Inc. in Jacksonville, where he was responsible for all phases of strategic planning, design, construction and maintenance in support of CSX’s 35 intermodal terminals. His career experience in the rail industry spans 38 years; in addition to CSX, he has worked in various roles for general and rail contractors around the U.S.
