KCS appoints VPs for energy & short line, intermodal

Kansas City Southern announced the appointments of Ginger Adamiak as vice president, sales and marketing for the energy and short line relations business unit, and Darin Selby as vice president intermodal operations.

Selby succeeds Morris Godwin, who is retiring effective Sept. 1 after 10 years with the company. Adamiak and Selby report to executive vice president and chief marketing officer Brian Hancock.

“Morris has laid a foundation of excellence for intermodal operations and his expertise will be missed. We wish him and his wife the very best in retirement,” said Hancock. “Both Ginger and Darin bring a wealth of cross-functional experience and proven performance to their new roles. I am confident that they will lead their respective teams well, as we continue to focus on our goal of customer-focused service.”

Adamiak has 30 years of experience in sales and marketing, banking, treasury, investor relations, structured financing, leasing and market analysis, including 20 years in transportation. She joined KCS the in 2006 as director of investor relations. She was promoted to assistant vice president, marketing in 2011 and assistant vice president finance in 2015. Prior to joining KCS, she spent nine years with GATX Corp.

Selby has 24 years of railroad experience in sales and marketing, customer service and transportation. He joined the company in 2001 as assistant trainmaster and has held progressive roles in customer service and sales and marketing. Most recently, he served as vice president sales and marketing for the energy business unit, also overseeing short line partner relations. Prior to joining the company, he worked at OmniTRAX’s Central Kansas Railway.
