This week, the production gang will move to the Vicksburg Subdivision between Shreveport and Monroe, La. This work is expected to be completed by the end of May. The gang will install 66,000 ties and replace approximately four miles of 112-pound rail in curves.

Upon completion of the trackwork on the Laredo Subdivision, fluidity of cross border traffic between the U.S. and Mexico immediately improved. Completion of maintenance on the Meridian Speedway between Shreveport and Monroe will further improve safety and service on KCS' International Intermodal Corridor.
