UP performing $7.4 million in Missouri infrastructure improvements
Written by Jenifer Nunez, assistant editorUnion Pacific is enhancing Missouri's transportation infrastructure by investing $7.4 million in the rail line that runs just west of Jefferson City and Pleasant Hill. The project is in progress and is scheduled to be completed by the end of October.
The project includes replacing 47,400 crossties, spreading 19,000 tons of ballast, renewing the surfaces at 56 crossings and replacing a total of more than a half mile of rail in various curves.
