Jeff Davis, a railroad industry veteran, has joined TNW Corporation (TNW) as its chief operating officer (COO). Davis assumed the role effective Jan. 1.

In his new position, Davis will manage the planning and support for strategic initiatives and daily operations. He will also oversee TNW’s suite of operating companies. Davis reports directly to TNW CEO Paul Treangen.

With extensive experience in the shortline railroad industry, Davis has served as a senior management executive for several railways and private companies. He has previously served as CEO for the New Orleans Public Belt Railway. Prior to that, he has held positions including executive vice president and COO at the South Carolina Public Railway and Terminal Trainmaster for CSX Transportation.

“The addition of Jeff to our management team opens many new opportunities for TNW,” Treangen said. “He clearly understands what is required to successfully operate and grow short line railroads like TNW, and his relationships with Class 1 carriers will help us to continue the growth we’ve maintained during the past few years.”

Based in Dallas, Texas, TNW Corporation is a privately-held operator of shortline railroads and logistics centers.
