Goldsberry named GM of Eastern Idaho Railroad

Watco Transportation Services appointed Bill Goldsberry to the position of general manager for the Eastern Idaho Railroad.

Goldsberry will be responsible for the day to day operations on the EIRR and will report directly to the director of operations. His duties will be to coordinate efforts between all railroad departments and to achieve performance goals with optimum safety, economy, efficiency and effectiveness ensuring profitability of all departments along with the growth that is taking place on the EIRR.

Goldsberry began his railroad career with Union Pacific as a switchman and conductor in 1997 in Roseville, Calif. In 1999, he went to work for RailAmerica and served as an engineer and conductor on the California Northern Railroad in Woodland, Calif., and the Puget Sound and Pacific Railroad in Elma, Wash. In 2004, he was named director of operations and safety for Genesse & Wyoming’s Portland and Western Railroad in Salem, Ore. In January of 2010, he became general manager of the Yellowstone Valley Railroad in Sidney, Mont.
