The North Carolina Railroad Company (NCRR) welcomed three new members to its team.

Anna Moore will serve as vice president of economic development and will work closely with Richard Wiley, senior consultant for economic development. Moore joined NCRR from the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina and North Carolina Department of Commerce, where she focused on business recruitment.

Megen Hoenk is the new director of corporate communications. She most recently served as director of marketing and external affairs for the North Carolina Community College System Office. In addition to her experience in marketing and media relations, Hoenk has a background in public radio news.

Donald Arant joined NCRR as its first full-time staff engineer, following a seven-year tenure at STV, an engineering and architecture firm. Arant is a licensed professional engineer with significant experience in rail transportation and municipal project management. He will report to Jim Kessler, vice president of engineering and planning.

“As NCRR increases its focus on the role of the railroad in recruitment and retention of business and industry in North Carolina, Anna, Megen and Donald will bring the added expertise and support needed as we continue to implement our strategic vision,” said NCRR President Scott Saylor.
