OmniTRAX fills executive positions

OmniTRAX, Inc., has made four management appointments and promotions.

Darcy Brede has been promoted to president and chief operating officer. Brede will assume responsibility for all OmniTRAX operations and business units in the United States and Canada and will report to the CEO of OmniTRAX.

Brede brings more than 26 years of experience in the railroad industry. Within OmniTRAX, Brede has held the roles of general manager, regional vice president of Canada, senior vice president of operations and chief operating officer.

Scott Bell has been promoted to interim chief financial officer. Bell will assume all responsibilities for accounting and finance within the OmniTRAX organization and will report directly to Brede. Accounting, FP&A, IT, billing, purchasing and risk management departments will report to Bell.

Bell brings with him more than 12 years of experience in railroad financial accounting. Within OmniTRAX, Bell has held the roles of financial analyst, director of accounting, assistant controller and divisional controller.

Peter Touesnard joined OmniTRAX as chief commercial officer. Throughout his career, Touesnard progressively managed various parts of RailAmerica since joining the company in 2000. Prior to RailAmerica, he served in management at various companies with vessels, trucks and terminals owned by Rail Tex and by J.D. Irving Ltd. in Canada.

An affiliate of OmniTRAX, the Broe Group, hired Brad Marsh as vice president human resources.
