Patriot Rail names new CFO and VP sales

Patriot Rail Company LLC promoted Jennifer Whiteman to chief financial officer and added Justin Broyles as vice president sales.

 

Whiteman brings more than 15 years of experience in finance and accounting with both private and public rail transportation companies, focusing on the areas of financial reporting, strategic planning and budgeting, working capital, debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions and oversight of information systems and internal audit functions.

Prior to arriving at Patriot Rail, Whiteman held a number of finance and accounting leadership positions at RailAmerica Inc., including assistant vice president, assistant controller where she was responsible for the management of various finance and accounting functions. Whiteman’s most recent position was vice president, finance and accounting for Patriot.

“Given Jennifer’s extensive knowledge of finance and the rail industry, I’m confident that she will build on the momentum that she has already established during her tenure and will be instrumental to the future growth of the company,” said John Fenton, president and chief executive officer.

Broyles brings more than 14 years of experience in the rail transportation industry. His expertise includes creating and implementing innovative sales and marketing strategies, customer relationship management and effective sales training.

Previously, Broyles held a number of business development positions at R. J. Corman Railroad Group, LLC. Most recently, Broyles served as assistant vice president, sales and marketing. In this position, he successfully led the strategic sales efforts for all R. J. Corman companies.
