U.S. Rep. Jerry McNerney (D-CA-9) joined representatives from the Stockton Terminal and Eastern Railroad (STE), OmniTRAX and the National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association (NRC) for a tour of STE's facility April 8.

Upon his arrival, Rep. McNerney participated in a meet-and-greet with STE and its customers snf had the opportunity to take a locomotive ride and see the inner-workings to the locomotive cab and the businesses served by STE.

STE provides freight rail service to the greater Stockton area, with 25 miles of track connecting to BNSF, Union Pacific and the Central California Traction Company.

STE supports the transportation needs of multiple industries that call Stockton home, including agriculture, asphalt, cement, chemical transportation, food processing, lumber, steel and many others. STE connects these industries to the national freight rail network and allows for local Stockton businesses to move goods more safely, efficiently and cost-effectively.
