Van Schaick joins Watco as AVP government affairs

Watco Companies hired Jeff Van Schaick as assistant vice president, government affairs.

 

Schaick will be responsible for maintaining relationships with governmental agencies and individuals key to Watco and the rail industry. He will keep informed of ongoing issues in the state legislature and federal government and be prepared to represent the company’s interests in those matters.

Prior to joining the Watco Team, he served as an associate with Chambers, Conlon & Hartwell LLC, in Washington, D.C., for the past five years. He also worked as the public affairs assistant with Foley & Lardner LLP in Washington from January 2007 to June 2008 and as a field director with the Maryland Republican Party in Annapolis, Md., from August to November of 2006.
