TranSystems hires Shaeffer as senior project manager

TranSystems Corp., an engineering and architecture solutions consulting firm, has hired Dana Shaeffer, PE, as its new senior project manager.

 

Shaeffer served most recently as program manager for Amtrak’s Gateway Program and has more than 16 years of experience in the industry. Representatives say she is skilled in project and program management relating to freight and passenger rail programs.

“We are excited to have Dana join the TranSystems team,” said Jeff Stiles, Market Sector Leader for the Passenger Rail and Transit sector. “Her talents, extensive work and proven track record of managing projects in the transit field will prove to be extremely valuable to our clients.”

Shaeffer previously held multiple roles at Amtrak, such as project development officer and program director supporting systems integration as well as managing professional services affiliated with the Gateway Program. 

She received her Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Villanova University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Drexel University. 

Shaeffer is also described as an “active member” of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association, the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Women in Transportation Seminar.
