2010 Regional Contracting Forum set for Puget Sound region

Written by jrood

The Puget Sound region's largest public agencies will host a Regional Contracting Forum on March 30 at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Seattle. Each year, more than 1,000 people attend this annual networking and information-gathering event. This year the Forum will include one-on-one interactive sessions between prime and subcontractors for construction and architectural and engineering services, and agency buyers and vendors. The Forum also serves as a "one-stop" location for business owners seeking to do business with government agencies to ask questions that will help them navigate the public competitive bidding process successfully.

King County, Port of
Seattle, City of Seattle, Washington State Department of Transportation and
Department of General Administration, U.S. General Services Administration,
University of Washington and Sound Transit host this annual event in collaboration
with other public agencies.

The Regional Contracting
Forum is a source of useful information for contractors, vendors, and suppliers
who want to learn about upcoming contracting opportunities in construction,
consulting, and goods and services of government entities throughout the Puget
Sound region. Business owners can network with other businesses, and visit
resource agency representatives who will be available to share information on
resources and technical assistance available to help small businesses, many at
no cost.

The Regional Contracting
Forum will take place from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 30 at a new venue, the
Washington State Convention and Trade Center in downtown Seattle.
