CHA Consulting, Inc. (CHA) has announced that John Hensley will be its new Transportation Group executive.

Hensley will oversee the firm’s initiatives to strengthen the nation’s transportation infrastructure by providing design and planning solutions for bridges, highways, rail and traffic.

“I am really excited to be part of a great team at CHA,” Hensley said. “I look forward to shaping the strategic direction of the Transportation Group by broadening and diversifying the business technically and geographically with a focus on long-term staff development and professional growth.”

Hensley most recently held the role of environment business president at ARCADIS, a global engineering, design and management consulting firm, where he moved through many leadership positions during his more than 30 years with the firm. Throughout his time at ARCADIS, representatives say Hensley implemented successful new business strategies and oversaw operations for the company’s national transportation infrastructure business.

“John’s technical experience and vast market knowledge will bring tremendous value to our Transportation Group and to the overall CHA business,” said Mike Carroll, CEO of CHA. “But more importantly, John’s leadership skills and people focus will allow him to make significant contributions to the entire company. I count CHA as fortunate to be able to add his leadership to our executive team.”

Hensley earned his Civil Engineering degree at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Ga. He received his master’s degree in business administration from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Ga.
