Gary McVoy joins PB

Gary R. McVoy has been named transportation sustainability practice leader of Parsons Brinckerhoff. In his new position, McVoy, who will be based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, will be responsible for advising PB’s clients on sustainability, environmental stewardship, operations and asset management matters. McVoy comes to PB after a 31-year career with the New York State Department of Transportation where he most recently served as director of operations, managing the activities of more than 5,600 staff and responsible for the agency’s day-to-day operations. He previously served as the agency’s director of environmental analysis, maintenance and traffic operations. He has led projects and policy in transportation/sustainability, asset management, traveler information, emergency response, environmental stewardship and environmental assessment. He has extensive experience in transportation operations and maintenance management and organizational development.
