LA Metro Blue Line Florence Station to close for maintenance

Beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 23, through Sunday, July 25, the Los Angeles Metro Blue Line Florence Station will be closed due to systems maintenance and track replacement at the Florence Avenue crossing. Metro customers will experience up to 20 minutes delays between the Florence and Firestone stations.

Metro Blue Line
passengers traveling south from Los Angeles to the Florence Station will need
to continue their trip to the Firestone Station and then take the shuttle bus
back to the Florence Station. For those traveling northbound to the Florence
Station, they will need to get off the train at the Firestone Station and take
the shuttle bus to the Florence Station. Metro buses will run every 20 minutes
between each Metro Rail station.

Passengers should be
aware that no access will be permissible across tracks at Florence Avenue for
safety reasons. Those affected are advised to use designated shuttle bus from
the Firestone Station to access either east or west side of the station area.
Pedestrian and motor vehicles traffic will not be allowed on Florence Avenue.

Metro Blue Line trains will
bypass the Florence Station without stopping during the track replacement work.
Patrons can expect up to a 20 minutes delays in services, as trains will be
single tracking through the area.
