L.A. Metro to drill assess essential soil conditions

Written by jrood

Los Angeles Metro will be conducting a second round of exploratory drillings March 22-April 7 as part of the planning and environmental analysis for the proposed Crenshaw /LAX Transit Corridor Project.

The Crenshaw/LAX Transit
Corridor project is a major north-south investment potentially providing relief
for the I-405 and I-110 freeways.

The collection of soil
samples is essential to assess the conditions below ground in order to prepare
the necessary plans for future trackways, station structures, and tunnels
associated with a light rail line.

work schedules

3 p.m. Median of Crenshaw Boulevard 1) between West 59th Street and
