Written by jrood

The Maryland Transit Administration is advising Metro Subway customers of upcoming track maintenance. The overnight work will improve track functions between the Rogers Avenue and State Center/Cultural Center stations and is scheduled to have limited impact on Metro Subway service.

The project is scheduled
for non-service and off-peak hours between Friday, August 20, and Sunday,
August 29. Work will begin at 10 p.m. and end before Metro Subway’s peak
morning schedule.

Metro Subway operates from 5 a.m. until Midnight, Monday
through Friday, and 6 a.m. until Midnight on Saturday and Sunday.

The 15.5-mile, 14-station
system operates between the Owings Mills area of Baltimore County, downtown
Baltimore and Johns Hopkins Medical Center. Current average daily Metro Subway
ridership is 45,000.
