New West of Hudson timetables in effect

Written by jrood

Following construction season track improvements, new West of Hudson schedules went into effect on Sunday, November 8, 2009. On the Port Jervis Line: With the completion of work on the interlocking at Harriman, travel times have been reduced by one minute on westbound trips from Harriman to Port Jervis.

On the Pascack Valley
Line: Look for a new inbound train for the "night owl" crowd. The new
train departs Spring Valley at 11:26 p.m., making all local stops, arriving
Hoboken at 12:43 a.m. and Penn Station-NY (via Secaucus Junction) at 12:56 a.m.

One other change involves
the weekend, 8:13 p.m. departure from Spring Valley, which now departs at 8:10
p.m. and arrives at Hoboken at 9:20 p.m., a two-minute faster trip.

On the Port Jervis and
Pascack Valley Lines: As part of Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor Concrete Tie
Project, some adjustments have been made to connections at Secaucus Junction
and Penn Station-NY. In a few instances the change in time is up to 11 minutes.
