Pittsburgh North Shore Intersection to see lane closures Nov. 9-14

Written by jrood

Pittsburgh area motorists can expect intermittent lane closures Nov. 9-14 near the intersection of Allegheny Avenue and Reedsdale Street on the North Shore due to construction activity in the area. Contractors will intermittently close lanes beginning Nov. 9 at 6:00 a.m. and ending at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14. Work will be conducted around the clock, and police will help direct motorists through open lanes.

The work is part of Port
Authority of Allegheny County’s North Shore Connector project. This segment of
the project includes construction of an aboveground rail line. A new T station
will be built near the intersection of Allegheny Avenue and Reedsdale Street.
Construction of the 1.2-mile T extension is scheduled to be complete by 2012.
