"Parking has long been at a premium at Tri-Rail's West Palm Beach Station, which is also utilized by Amtrak and Greyhound patrons," said Commissioner Jeff Koons, Palm Beach County Commission board chairman and SFRTA Governing Board chair. "The opening of the new parking lot will definitely enable us to better serve our passengers and greatly enhances the new West Palm Beach Intermodal Center, overall."

The lot was built at a cost of approximately $1 million with funding provided by the Federal Transit Administration and the Florida Department of Transportation.
