Sound Transit schedules East Link community meetings

Written by jrood

On April 22, Seattle's Sound Transit Board announced its preference for an East Link light rail route that runs on 112th Avenue between Downtown and Bellevue Way. While the Bellevue City Council prefers an alternate route (B7, next to I-405), the 112th Avenue alignment could be Sound Transit's final choice.

Sound Transit and City of
Bellevue staff are meeting with residents and businesses along the potential
112th Avenue light rail route to make sure they understand the design options
and to identify community preferences. All meetings will be held from 6:30 to
8:30 p.m. at Bellevue City Hall, 450 110th Ave NE.

The meeting schedule
includes:

June 15: Understanding
112th Avenue Options and Community Interests.

June 29: Evaluating the
112th Avenue Options.

July 7: Identifying
Community Preferences on 112th.

Also, there will be an Open
House July 14 to discuss 112th Avenue, South Bellevue Park-and-Ride, and
Bellevue Way.
