Everett-bound riders can take ST Express Route 510 from Seattle to Everett.
Sounder operates on railway owned and maintained by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway. The railway requires a 48-hour waiting period after mudslides before resuming normal passenger service to ensure safe operating conditions.
Also in the area, starting on the evening of March 25, between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., Sound Transit's contractor will be cutting the asphalt and concrete across Montlake Blvd to prepare for the installation of the electrical ductbank under Montlake Blvd. that will provide power to the UW Station construction site and ultimately the University of Washington Station.
The following 2 weeks, between Monday, March 29 and Friday, April 9, the contractor will start the excavation and ductbank construction across Montlake Blvd. All of the work is scheduled at night to minimize impact to automotive traffic. It will be necessary to restrict traffic to one lane in either direction on Montlake Blvd.
University Link is the 3.15-mile extension of light rail from downtown Seattle to the University of Washington. U-Link includes twin-bore tunnels and two stations, one at Capitol Hill (Broadway and East John Street) and the other on the University of Washington campus at Husky Stadium.
