Union Pacific has donated another $33,000 to Michigan Tech's Rail Transportation Program. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Union Pacific has supported the program.

The railroad was
represented at the recent Fall Career Fair, one of a dozen rail and rail-related
companies recruiting employees and interns. Union Pacific is looking to fill
200 positions.

"We are very excited
about your Rail Transportation Program," said Sharyn Crawford-Jones,
recruitment manager for Union Pacific. "We’ve gotten some really good hires
from that program. We always get good candidates from Michigan Tech. You have
great students, great academics and excellent hands-on experience."

Pasi Lautala, director of
the Rail Transportation Program, said he is delighted that Union Pacific is continuing
its partnership with Michigan Tech. "We have had the most rewarding
relationship with Union Pacific, and we are proud that we can bring value to
the company," he said. "Union Pacific’s continuous commitment is
essential for the growth of our program, and we are looking forward to
expanding and strengthening our collaboration to yet another level."
