Union Pacific will improve the transportation infrastructure in Missouri by investing $4 million in the rail line that runs from Jefferson City, Mo., to west of Marshall, Mo. Various projects on nearly 80-miles of this line include removing and installing more than 24,500 ties and replacing more than a quarter of a mile of rail in various curves. The projects began Oct. 7 and are scheduled to be completed by mid-December.
