Along with swearing in of Peralez and Ramos, the JPB elected its officers for this year. Mayor of Gilroy Perry Woodward, who also is a partner at the law firm of Hopkins & Carley, was elected chair of the JPB and José Cisneros, treasurer for the city and county of San Francisco, was elected as vice-chair.
