The California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA) released two separate Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) for Regional Consultant services for the Palmdale to Burbank Project Section and the Burbank to Los Angeles/Anaheim Project Section of the high-speed rail program.

CHSRA is seeking qualified firms to provide planning, preliminary engineering, alternatives development, financial and programming analysis, stakeholder coordination, environmental services and right-of-way services for these important sections of the high-speed rail system.

“Regional consultants will continue to advance work in Southern California and the delivery of both sections,” said CHSRA’s Southern California Regional Director Michelle Boehm.

The Palmdale to Burbank contract is estimated at $56 million. The Burbank to Los Angeles/Anaheim contract is estimated at $51 million. Both contracts are for five-year terms and include CHSRA’s adopted 30 percent goal for small business and disadvantaged business participation in the work. Statements of Qualifications are due December 5.

The Palmdale to Burbank Project Section is approximately 45 miles between the proposed Palmdale Transportation Center Station and Burbank Airport Station. The Burbank to Los Angeles/Anaheim Project Section is approximately 50 miles and travels from the Burbank Airport Station to Los Angeles Union Station and ends at the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center.
