The system is said to allow for easy updates to track chart information by loading Amtrak's in-house asset database data on the application server, which updates the electronic track chart records. The password-protected secure website allows the user to query track charts for a specific location and to quickly export them to a PDF. TrackIT allows automated and autonomous inspection data to be shown alongside the track charts.

"Online access to current infrastructure and inspection records is definitely the direction the industry is going," said Boris Nejikovsky, ENSCO's vice president, Applied Technology and Engineering Division. "We are excited to be a leader in it and aid Amtrak in their data management goals."
