SEPTA issues Norristown High Speed Line construction update

Written by jrood

For the past several months, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority has been working to complete both planned and emergency construction projects on the Norristown High Speed Line.

These efforts, especially the emergency track construction needed to repair damage caused by last year’s hurricane and excessive rains, created schedule alterations and travel delays that inconvenienced many customers.

Work continues to complete critical infrastructure and station improvement projects including trackwork between Wynnewood Ave. and Bryn Mawr Stations and the Ardmore Junction Station Improvement Project.

Starting this summer and continuing into the fall, improvements projects including the 69th Street Transportation Center Platform Demolition and Replacement, the Ardmore Ave. Station Improvement Project and the Bryn Mawr Retaining Wall Replacement will take place.
