Will Flores, an experienced project executive who has overseen the development of a number of transportation initiatives in the New York metropolitan area, has joined STV as a vice president in its Transportation & Infrastructure Division.

He will be based in New York and report directly to Richard Amodei, STV senior vice president and head of the division’s Northeast Region.

STV says that Flores’s project management background, which includes infrastructure improvement projects, signals and systems design and resiliency initiatives, will serve him well in his role as a client manager to some of STV’s most significant transportation clients in the Northeast, including the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), New York City Department of Design and Construction and Amtrak.

Flores has an established track record in developing detailed design drawings, specifications and procurement packages for stations and facilities, tunnels, yards, systems, viaduct structures and bridges. He has worked with city and state regulatory agencies, landmarks commissions and community boards to advance projects.

He has held leadership positions in both the public and private sectors, providing him with unique insights relating to rail operations. He also has a longstanding history working collaboratively with multiple disciplines and stakeholders across project life cycles from proposal development through construction completion.

“Will’s experience has allowed him to develop a number of strong client relationships throughout the transportation industry,” Amodei said. “He has also demonstrated the ability to bring diverse entities together for the successful completion of a project.”

Prior to joining STV, Flores was with a major consulting firm where he performed project management duties for the MTA New York City Transit (NYCT) flood mitigation improvement initiative along the Upper West side on 86th street and in Lower Manhattan on West Broadway; the Help Point emergency communication system, which is located throughout the MTA NYCT subway system; track and signal improvements for NYSDOT’s High-Speed Rail Program in Albany, NY and large security infrastructure enhancements for the MTA’s systemwide security program.
