Gannett Fleming consolidates GFT&RS, Transit and Rail Practice under Mulqueen

Bryan Mulqueen, the national manager of Gannett Fleming's Transit & Rail Practice, has taken on added responsibility for Gannett Fleming Transit & Rail Systems (GFT&RS), along with the operations of the firm's Transit and Rail Practice in the northeast United States.

Now, Michael T. McNamara, GFT&RS president, and David A. Boaté, the firm's Northeast Transit and Rail practice director, will report to Mulqueen. This move consolidates all Transit & Rail Practice and GFT&RS activities under Mulqueen. The GFT&RS division specializes in transit and railroad track, signal, communication, electric traction and overhead catenary design.

"In his role as national practice manager, Mulqueen is responsible for quality and consistency of transit and rail services, as well as practice growth and operations. The alignment of all of Gannett Fleming's transit and rail staff throughout the country brings continuity to our clients. I am confident in his abilities to help Gannett Fleming's valued clients realize success," said David B. Thomas, senior vice president and national director of transit and rail for the firm.

Based in the Raleigh, N.C., office, Mulqueen also serves as a vice president and project principal for a number of the firm's most important transit projects. With more than 25 years of experience managing major transportation infrastructure programs and large multidisciplinary regional teams, Mulqueen's rail transportation experience includes work in all project phases, including planning, design, construction and operations. Most recently, Mulqueen served as the sponsor of the firm's transit and rail growth initiative for the firm's West Region, which has led to notable successes in Southern California and strong opportunities for continued development throughout the region.
