London Trackwork Inc. wins supply contract for Confederation Line

London Trackwork Inc. has been awarded the supply contract for special trackwork for the Confederation Line in Ottawa, ON, Canada. The contract, worth several million dollars, will take one-and-a-half years to complete.

 

The special trackwork contract includes number 6, 8 and 12 geometry turnouts with single and double crossovers.

The Confederation Line (Ottawa Light Rail Transit Project) is being designed and built by the Rideau Transit Group consortium. It will improve the transportation network throughout the nation’s capital. The Confederation Line is one of the largest infrastructure projects in Ottawa since the building of the Rideau Canal. It will be 12.5 kilometers long (7.75 miles) and include elevated and tunneling sections, as well as 13 stations.
