NYCT to reopen Brighton Q Line platforms at three stations

Written by Jenifer Nunez, assistant editor

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) New York City Transit (NYCT) will re-open the newly refurbished northbound platforms of the B and Q Line stations at Cortelyou Road, Beverley Road and Parkside Avenue in Brooklyn on October 28, two weeks earlier than scheduled.

The platforms were closed in July for station component work consisting of painting, concrete repair and water leak mitigation at all three stations. In addition, workers replaced the steel stairs at Beverley Road, repaired concrete columns at Parkside Avenue and steel columns at Cortelyou and Beverley Roads.

The Brooklyn-bound side of these stations will close from February to June 2014 to continue the component work.
