Three teams have been selected by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) to compete for the design-build contract to build the Green Line Extension Project.

The teams were shortlisted following an evaluation of their Statements of Qualifications. MBTA said under the design-build contract, the project will be delivered by a single firm, which will work under a single contract for the design and construction of the Green Line Extension Project.

John Dalton, Program Manager, says this step shows that the momentum continues.

“The strong interest in the project from these highly-regarded firms underscores that the project is being taken as seriously by the design build industry as it is by [the Massachusetts Department of Transportation] and the MBTA. These firms have the well-earned reputation for delivering complex projects in the United States and abroad and we are pleased that they are demonstrating an interest in working with us to successfully deliver this project,” Dalton said.

Below are the short listed design-build teams.
