ASLRRA awards 2015 safety honors

The American Short Line Rail and Regional Association (ASLRRA) disclosed the winners of its 2015 Safety Awards including Safety Person of the Year, Safety Professional of the Year, Jake Awards with Distinction and Jake Awards.

 

These awards have been made possible through sponsorship of the ASLRRA Safety Awards Program by Safety Awards Program Sponsors. The Safety Program enables the ASLRRA to recognize the continued efforts of its members to maintain a high level of safety.

Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis received the award for the most hours of injury-free operation; for maintaining the best safety rate Paducah & Louisville Railway, Inc., won for 500,000 or more man-hours worked; Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis won for 250,000 to 500,000 man-hours worked; South Kansas & Oklahoma Railroad won for 150,000 to 250,000 man-hours worked; Columbus & Ohio River Rail Road Co. won for 50,000 to 150,000 man-hours worked and Los Angeles Junction Railway Company won for less than 50,000 man-hours worked.

Safety Person of the Year was given to Taylor Kelley, Nebraska Central Railroad Co. and Safety Professional of the Year was given to Teddy Maybrier, Genesee & Wyoming Railroad Services, Inc.
