The three-hour enforcement resulted in 40 vehicle citations, 10 arrests for offenses that included parole violation and outstanding warrants, along with eight trespasser warnings. The effort began at 6 a.m. and concluded just after 9 a.m.

The vehicle offenses included stopping on the railroad tracks, failure to stop for an activated railroad crossing signal and unlicensed drivers.

Metrolink partnered with the Los Angeles Police Department, Valley Traffic Division and its off-road motorcycle patrol, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the City of San Fernando Police Department, Union Pacific Police Department and a representative from the Federal Transportation Security Administration to make sure drivers and pedestrians engaged in safe behavior at crossings. Nearly 20 law enforcement agents were involved.

The crossings monitored were along San Fernando Road beginning at Penrose Street, extending north of the Highway 118 interchange.
