Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. is pleased to announce, effective January 1, 2021, Georgetown Rail Equipment Company (GREX) will start doing business as Loram Technologies, Inc.  With the name change, Loram and Loram Technologies are introducing changes to the product line and service offerings for each organization.  Loram Technologies will continue to provide Aurora tie inspection services, ballast car products and services and SENSR structural monitoring products along with Loram’s friction management and GSM (Geotechnical/GPR) products and services. Another element of this realignment plan is to combine the services offered with the heavy rail-bound equipment fleet, the GREX “blue iron” with the Loram “yellow iron”, under the common leadership of Loram Maintenance of Way.

The new leadership team for Loram Technologies is made up of existing leadership from GREX and Loram’s Friction Management business. From GREX, Greg Grissom is appointed as President of Loram Technologies with Nate Bachman as Vice President of Sales and Business Development and Jeff Stone as Vice President Operations.  Vennie Dyavanapalli, formerly Loram’s Director Friction Management, is appointed as Vice President Engineering and Product Development for Loram Technologies.

“This reorganization enhances our culture of innovation and promotes clear, effective alignment of our technical and service teams to better-solve customer problems” says CEO Phil Homan.  “The new structure will enhance our customer focus and accelerate growth within our track inspection and wayside products and services platforms while improving safety and service metrics across all platforms.”

In addition, Loram is excited to announce that there are plans to build Loram Technologies headquarters with a combined office and manufacturing facility in Georgetown, Texas.  The manufacturing facility will be the location for all the fabrication and service hub of the technology products.

“We look forward to the next chapter as we strengthen the Loram brand with this new structure and enhance our ability to meet our customers maintenance of way needs,” says Homan. “Loram Maintenance of Way, Loram Technologies and all our global teams will be aligned to propel us to success for generations to come.”
