Engineering firm CTLGroup says its President and CEO Jeffrey Garrett, Ph.D., S.E., has resigned and Timothy Tonyan, Ph.D., vice president and group manager of materials consulting practice, will serve as interim president and CEO.

Garrett joined CTLGroup more than 12 years ago and was appointed president and CEO in 2007.

Tonyan joined the firm in 2009 as a principal material scientist and was promoted in 2010 to vice president and group and Resources Practice Group.

“On behalf of the CTLGroup Board of Directors and our staff, we want to acknowledge Jeff’s contributions to the firm’s continued growth and success and for his leadership of the firm throughout the past six years,” said Gregory Scott, CTL chairman of the board. “We thank Jeff for his accomplishments in broadening CTLGroup’s capabilities, expert services and geographical coverage and wish him well with his future endeavors.”
