GREX names Grissom COO/EVP customer delivery

Georgetown Rail Equipment Company (GREX) promoted current Vice President Engineering Greg Grissom to chief operating officer/executive vice president customer delivery.

Grissom played an important role in the development of new technology solutions and overall growth of the company.

“Greg is a valuable asset to the GREX team and has proven that he’s able to effectively lead,” said Chief Executive Officer and President William Shell. “We strive to bring talented and hard-working people to our team that also have a passion for the rail industry. Greg has exemplified those qualities and we believe he will continue to help us to exceed our goals as a company.”

In his new role, Grissom will continue to lead the engineering team, but will additionally oversee Operations & Safety, Marketing & Sales and Information Technologies.

“I am pleased to take on these additional responsibilities during exciting times at GREX,” said Grissom. “The commitment of our board and our employees, to delivering safety-focused technology solutions for our customers has been one of the great motivators while at GREX. I look forward to my new responsibilities, continuing to innovate and being a part of the bright future of this organization.”

Prior to GREX, Grissom was HNTB’s Union Pacific client service leader and project manager on multiple key rail design projects including several high-speed initiatives. He also served at Zeta-Tech Associates, where he was involved in rail research projects, field studies and rail-industry-specific software applications.
