HDR hires transit sector director

HDR, Inc., has hired Tom Waldron as transit market sector director, based in HDR's New York City office. His responsibilities include setting HDR's vision and initiatives for continued growth and expansion in transit across North America and globally.

 

Prior to joining HDR, Waldron served as Americas transit & rail director for AECOM. During his career, he also served as the first general manager for the Virginia Railway Express during start-up of the 90-mile passenger rail system serving northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. Additionally, he has held staff positions at New Jersey Transit, Conrail and Futrex, Inc.

With more than 35 years in the transit business, Waldron’s experience ranges from financing, development and design to construction, commissioning and operations for transit, passenger rail, freight and private developer clients in North and South America. He has also supported global initiatives in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia and Asia.
