Scott Goehri has been named director of professional services for HDR's transportation business group.

In his new role, Goehri will develop and manage HDR’s technical practice, including staff resources and service capabilities, to meet the needs of HDR clients and markets. He will provide leadership to market sectors throughout HDR’s transportation program as it relates to improving standards and best practices and implementing strong quality assurance and risk management standards.

Goehri has more than 32 years of experience in the transportation industry, 20 with HDR. He most recently was HDR’s freight railroad market sector director, working with Class 1 railroads and shortline railroads. He has also worked with highway, road, transit, maritime and industrial clients.

Goehri served as project manager for the $200 million BNSF Logistics Park in Kansas City, Mo,; project executive for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Fort Leonard Wood West Gate Entry project and project manager or task leader for numerous corridor studies to improve rail operations for Amtrak, Caltrans, Port of Long Beach and many other private clients and public agencies.

“Scott has a proven record of delivering quality projects, building solid client relationships based on exceptional service and promoting a safety-first approach,” said Charles O’Reilly, HDR transportation director. “As the business of mobility continues to transform, Scott will put his talents to work across our transportation program and company to develop appropriate responses to new or developing technologies and service areas in support of providing integrated project life-cycle solutions to our clients and partners.”
