Invensys Rail has appointed Russell Adams as its new vice president of global major projects.

Adams joins Invensys Rail from URS Corporation, where he was regional director responsible for the systems of Saudi Arabia’s Haramain high-speed railway, for which Invensys Rail is supplying its ERTMS signaling technology. Prior to this, he held a number of senior roles at Parsons Brinckerhoff, Siemens, May Gurney and Bechtel. In his new role, he will be based in Invensys Rail’s London Euston offices and will report to president and CEO of Invensys Rail, Kevin Riddett.

Riddett said, “The appointment of Russell will endorse the scale and capability of Invensys Rail to deliver major rail projects all over the world in some of the most challenging environments. His expertise and experience is another massive boost to what I believe to be the most capable project team in the rail industry. With so much global investment going into the rail sector, his appointment could not come at a better time”.
