U.S. Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-CO-05) joined representatives from IP Automation and the National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association (NRC) for a tour of IP Automation's manufacturing facility in Colorado Springs, Colo., on August 29.

Upon his arrival, Rep. Lamborn was greeted by IP Automation’s executive team, including President Ilia Petkov, Ken Krassy, Jimmy Clem and Bogomil Banchev. IP Automation is an engineering firm that specializes in designing, fabricating, manufacturing and assembling equipment and components for various industries, including rail.

During the tour, Rep. Lamborn had an opportunity to see IP Automation’s patented HYENA – Safelok Rail Clip Removal and Installation Tool, which allows for one operator to install, stage or remove rail clips when constructing or performing maintenance on rail.

“Small businesses like IP Automation are the backbone of the American economy. They create most of our jobs, so we must have good energy, healthcare, regulation and taxation policies in Washington,” said Rep. Lamborn. “This will allow small businesses to thrive and unleash their innovations and creativity.”
