Kerri Tyerman, infrastructure delivery expert, joins HNTB

Kerri Tyerman, PE, joined HNTB Corporation as the transportation department manager working in the firm's New Jersey operations. She is based in HNTB's Parsippany office.

 

Tyerman manages civil and transportation engineering projects throughout New Jersey. She also serves as client service team leader and participates in key sales initiatives.

Tyerman has more than 22 years of experience as a project manager for highway and public transportation projects, including work with the New Jersey Department of Transportation providing congestion relief, safety and interchange improvements. Her background also encompasses extensive work with New Jersey Transit such as early stage engineering support for the new Hudson River tunnel projects, also known as the Gateway program.

A professional engineer in New Jersey and New York, Tyerman holds a Master of Science in transportation engineering and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. She is a member of the Women’s Transportation Seminar, American Society of Civil Engineers, the Metropolitan Railway Club and the American Society of Highway Engineers.

In New Jersey, HNTB’s work includes design of the Pulaski Skyway rehabilitation; design of the dedicated truck route from the region’s ports known as Portway and other projects for the New Jersey Department of Transportation; general consulting engineer for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority; construction manager for the Garden State Parkway interchange 125 improvement project; and program manager for New Jersey Transit’s post-superstorm Sandy resiliency efforts, among others.
