LRIW sets annual conference agenda

 as part of Railway Interchange 2015

The League of Railway Industry Women (LRIW) released the agenda for its annual conference, which will be held in conjunction with Railway Interchange 2015, taking place October 4-7 in Minneapolis, Minn.

 

Speakers at the LRIW conference program, which begins on October 5, include Operation Lifesaver, Inc., President and Chief Executive Officer Joyce Rose, Canadian Association of Railway Suppliers Executive Director Sylvia Newell and American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association President Linda Darr. In addition, LRIW will present its “Outstanding Woman of the Year” award during the opening general session.

Also presenting during the Monday session will be Transportation Technology Center, Inc., Assistant Director Kari Gonzales, who will discuss simulation and testing advancements in the railway industry and Canadian National Sales Director Kelly Levis, who will provide a leadership perspective in the rail and railway supply industry.

The “Women in Rail” panel discussion will feature CN Supply Chain Manager Roquita Coleman Williams, Alaska Railroad Corp. Vice President of Business Management Wendy Lindskoog and International Decal Management Corp. President Tracy DeLeon.

“This year’s conference again features rail industry experts and executives who will provide valuable insight into current issues and trends,” noted LRIW President Susan Robertson.

On October 6, the LRIW schedule will include in-depth technical tours of facilities in the Minneapolis area for members and attendees.

The Railway Interchange 2015 exhibition showcases the latest technology, services and research by members of the Railway Supply Institute, the Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association and Railway Systems Suppliers, Inc. Railway Interchange 2015 also features technical presentations and discussions by members of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association and the Coordinated Mechanical Associations, of which LRIW is a member.
