Richard Morsches, PE, has been promoted to chief executive officer of TranSystems Corp. He brings to this role more than 30 years of experience and progressive leadership from serving clients locally in the Chicago area, to managing offices throughout the region, to leading the firm's strategy and sales efforts nationally.

“Rick has been an integral part of our success nearly from the day he stepped aboard,” said Executive Chairman Brian Larson. “He has worn every hat there is at the company and, though it was unknown at the time, these multiple roles were apt preparation for his latest step into the CEO role.”

Morsches replaces Brian Larson, PE, who will remain at TranSystems as executive chairman. Larson grew TranSystems from a firm of 15 colleagues in the transportation planning arena to one of 900 professionals spanning the entire range of business and technical disciplines applicable to transportation.

As CEO, Morsches will be responsible for the overall direction of the company guiding strategic initiatives and continuing to grow the firm. He will continue to serve on the board of directors.

Morsches joined TranSystems in 1989 and has held a variety of leadership positions with the firm, most recently as the chief strategy and marketing officer.
