The National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association (NRC) voted in three new board members.

The NRC named Joe Daloisio, track division manager, Railroad Construction Co., Inc., to the board. Daloisio has grown up in the railroad construction industry and is a third generation ‘Trackman.’ He has spent most of his life on the tracks, from visiting jobsites as a young boy, to yard worker, laborer, operator, foreman, supervisor and now managing the day-to-day track operations of Railroad Construction Co. He has worked for a wide range of customers, including state and local agencies, Class 1 railroads, shortlines, New Jersey Transit, Metropolitan Transportation Authority/ New York City Transit, Long Island Rail Road, Metro-North, Amtrak, private industries and the federal government.

The NRC also named Scott Goehri, senior vice president and global director of freight railroads, HDR Engineering, Inc., to the bard. Goehri’s career in the freight railroad industry began in 1979 as a co-op student working with the Missouri-Pacific Railroad. He has served as a project manager and BNSF client manager at HDR and also as the director for the Fluor/HDR Global Design Consultants, which is a separate company focused on executing transportation projects with construction values of greater than $300 million delivered in a design-build format.

Daniel Stout, vice President, STX Railroad Construction Services was also voted into the board of directors. Stout will focus his energy on initiatives that create value and opportunities for NRC member companies, including: encouraging the Class 1 railroads to increase their utilization of NRC member contractors for construction and maintenance and lobbying local and federal government representatives for dedicated sources of passenger rail and rail transit funding and ways to take freight off of trucks and put it on rail.

Three incumbents running to continue their service on the NRC board were also re-elected:

Danny Brown – corporate equipment manager, RailWorks Corporation

Clayton Gilliland – senior project manager, Stacy and Witbeck, Inc.

Dave Minor – vice president – A&K Railroad Materials, Inc.
